Greetings Everyone,

We have arrived!! Enjoying the sunshine in Cairns and the delight of Aussie cuisine! A friend met us the first day here and took us to Sizzlers. Nothing tastes as good as that first meal.

We had an excellent crossing, the best yet, with calm seas and a steady 15-20 knot wind on the beam. My elbow gradually healed on the way but the antibiotics made me feel a bit off colour. Phil did one sail change — a reef in the main then out again — and that was it for the trip. The wind died out on the last day and we ghosted along and then motored the last forty miles to get into Cairns early Monday morning.

We caught up with Brian and Tracy Fisk, had a meal with them and put three loads of washing through their washing machine — yeah clean sheets again!! The Fisks are looking at returning to the Central Coast and the NSW surf in the near future.

We made contact with the CRC pastor here. He’s had a lot of involvement with outreach in PNG and it was good sharing with him.

Today we stocked up with fruit and veges at the huge fresh food market at Cairns and we are planning to head off either tomorrow afternoon or Monday for Fitzroy Island and gradually head south and catch up with as many of you as we can in our travels. Thankyou all for your interest, prayers and support throughout our time away.

God bless you all,

Pam and Phil
