Greetings Everyone,
Today we settled Mum into a nursing home. The stroke damaged the part of her brain that governs planning movements and although physically she should be able to walk in practice she can’t.
It’s been hard for my parents after 67 years together but both are adjusting well. There are some nice features in the home — a number of pets — budgies, goldfish and three cats — outside, shady arbours and a central cooking area where you can watch your meal being cooked. Mum said, “If you can get me into that nice home I think I will be happy.” And Dad will be able to visit her often.
Phil and I are staying here at Brunswick Heads for Christmas and then heading south to catch up with family and friends.
